Here are some of the tips you can do if you want to activate call forwarding.

1. Call forwarding, also known as call diverting, is a feature that can be found in certain telephones. In order to activate call forwarding on your phone, you will need to inquire for the service from your local telephone company. But, there are some phones wherein you don't need to inquire from your phone company, to be able to do that, all you need is some touch of a couple of buttons. Doing call forwarding is very essential especially when you are working in an office that has many people. You will have to activate call forwarding to make it for other people to answer and transfer very important calls from one person to another

2. Take note, it doesn't take too much effort to activate call forwarding on your telephone. The first thing you need to do is lift the phone receiver and check if it has a stable dial tone. If there is the presence of a dial tone, you will have to dial #72 or *72 to help activate call forwarding. If the model of your telephone is quite old already, then you will have to dial 1172 to help activate call forwarding.

3. Once you are done with that, you will have to enter the phone number that you plan to forward the call to. Dial that 10-digit number. You will hear a ring tone. As soon as you hear the ring tone from the other line, answer the forwarded call to be able to activate call forwarding. If you want to activate call forwarding on your cellphone, then you will have to apply the same procedure to your cellphone. 

   

4. If you want to deactivate call forwarding on your telephone, then you will have to dial #73 or *73, instead of #72. #73 is the number for deactivating the call forwarding. When you dial this number, you will hear again a ring tone at the end of the line. Answer the phone to confirm the deactivation process. Always remember that #73 is for deactivating the phone line from transferring any calls, while #72 is to activate call forwarding.
